Why We Exist

Research Changed Our Lives. Now We're Paying It Forward.

The Lumiere Research Inclusion Foundation grows out of our financial aid initiative at Lumiere Education. We are committed to scaling research opportunities for talented, low-income students.

The Lumiere Breakthrough Scholar Program

A highly selective research mentorship program for exceptional low-income high school students worldwide — offered at zero cost to accepted scholars.

Selected Breakthrough Scholars work one-on-one with mentors from top universities around the world to write a research paper over the course of 12-weeks.
